A creative at heart, Dana (she/her) is currently the Director of Direct Marketing and Website Strategy at Safe Horizon; the largest victim advocacy nonprofit in the country. She is an expert at creating authentic storytelling stories through multiple mediums and driving branding, awareness, and fundraising campaigns that help 250,000 New Yorkers affected by abuse and violence find safety and support.
Before joining Safe Horizon, Dana had immersed herself in OpenCourseWare to learn technologies and digital marketing advancements as they themselves emerged. Like her multifaceted tastes in music, fashion, and media, Dana brings a host of diverse skills and knowledge gained by working across various industries including e-commerce and direct marketing.
Dana also brings her life experiences growing up in Queens, the most diverse borough in New York City, which has instilled values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in how she sees the world.
She identifies as a Jewish Person of Color with Middle Eastern and European heritage and holds a Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Buffalo in English.
